Facility Search

AICC is currently taking on a two pronged approach to our mission. First we are raising funds for a temporary facility to last us the 2010 winter season, or perhaps only the AB Cup race if we cannot land a facility within our monetary constraints.

Secondly we are raising long term funds to build our permanent structure. Currently the design is in flux and is dependent on the input that we receive from our Survey, but the present incarnation of the facility will be an air supported structure of 434ftx216ft. It will enclose a full UCI standard BMX track, training areas for road and track riders, full free weight room, dressing/multi-purpose rooms and a single indoor rectangular sport field that can be used for soccer, flag football, extreme frisbee, lacrosse, etc..

you might want to consider SPRUNG Structures. They are more durable than an air structure and offer better insulation value. Talk to the people at EDGE School in Springbank they have (3) and like them.

Sprung was discounted early on becasue of higher initial cost and not being able to reach the free-span distances attainable with air-supported. However after new info cam to light this past weekend we will be re-visiting Sprung shortly.
